Chapter 10 - The True Beaumont

Arthur stepped forward, wiping a tear of pride from his eye.
He looked at Maya not just as a lost child, but as a fierce, capable leader.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Arthur spoke into the microphone, his voice booming with absolute authority.
"Allow me to introduce my granddaughter, Eleanor Maya Beaumont."
The room erupted into deafening applause and a standing ovation.
Even the skeptical board members were clapping furiously, impressed by her ruthless brilliance.
Maya stood tall, looking out over the sea of faces that had mocked her just a week ago.
She was no longer the frightened waitress hiding a torn dress.
She was the undisputed queen of the empire.
Later that night, the grand ballroom was finally empty and quiet.
Maya stood by the massive windows, looking out over the glittering city lights of Hanoi.
Arthur walked up beside her, placing a warm, gentle hand on her shoulder.
"You did perfectly today, my dear," Arthur said softly.
"I finally feel like I can rest."
Maya smiled, leaning her head against her grandfather's shoulder.
"We are going to make this company greater than ever, Grandpa," Maya promised.
The nightmare of her past was finally over.
