Chapter 15 - A New Queen (Epilogue)

Six Months Later

The New Jersey estate was quiet, bathed in the warm, golden light of the late afternoon sun. The shattered nursery door had long been replaced, the marble floors scrubbed clean of blood and betrayal. The empire was thriving, fiercely loyal, and terrifyingly efficient under my undisputed rule.

I walked up the grand staircase and pushed open the door to the nursery.

The room was completely transformed. Gone were the sterile, hospital-like monitors and the cold atmosphere. It was bright, filled with toys, soft rugs, and the sweet sound of genuine laughter.

Luca was eight months old now. He was sitting on a playmat, a chubby, healthy, entirely perfect baby boy, aggressively chewing on a stuffed lion.

Harper was sitting beside him on the floor, reading a colorful board book. She wasn't wearing a stiff, uncomfortable maid's uniform anymore. She wore a beautiful, flowing summer dress, her hair tumbling freely over her shoulders. The haunted, grieving shadows in her eyes had completely vanished, replaced by a radiant, undeniable warmth.

She looked up as I entered the room, a breathtaking smile spreading across her face.

"He just took two steps holding onto the couch," Harper beamed, her pride entirely genuine.

"He's a Bianchi," I smiled, walking over and scooping my son up into my arms. Luca giggled, grabbing my nose with his tiny hands. "He was born to conquer."

I sat down on the floor next to Harper, resting my free hand gently over hers. The transition hadn't been rushed. We had built our foundation on survival, trauma, and an unbreakable trust. Over the last six months, Harper had become a mother to Luca in every way that mattered, and she had become the anchor of my entirely chaotic world.

"I have a meeting with the capos tonight," I murmured, leaning in to kiss her softly on the temple. "But I'll be home in time for dinner."

Harper smiled, leaning her head against my shoulder. "We'll be waiting for you."

I looked at my healthy son and the beautiful, incredibly strong woman beside me. The monsters had tried to destroy my world, but they had failed. From the ashes of their betrayal, I had built a family that could never be broken.

The mafia boss finally had a reason to protect the light, and I would burn the entire world down before I ever let the darkness touch them again.
