Chapter 5 - The Silent Strike
For three days, the estate was a ghost town. Maya didn't leave her small room above the garage.
But Leo Vance was done being invisible.
On Thursday, Julian was scheduled to host a massive press conference at the estate to announce a merger. Photographers were setting up on the lawn. Julian went to Leo's room to fetch him for the obligatory "family photo."
The door was locked.
Julian pounded on the heavy oak. "Leo! Open this door right now!"
Silence.
Julian called the head of security, who picked the lock. They burst inside. The room was empty. But on the pristine, white silk sheets of Leo's bed, painted in bold, black acrylic paint, was a massive symbol: two index fingers hooked together.
