Chapter 5 - The Sabotage

Six months passed, and Noah was thriving in New York City.
He was top of his class at FIT and was already helping Isabella design her spring collection.
But success always attracts jealousy, and David was not done trying to ruin our peace.
David had contacted a sleazy tabloid journalist, selling a completely fabricated story.
The headline read: "Viral Teen Designer Stole Emerald Dress Concept from Secret Father."
David claimed that he was a tailor and had secretly taught Noah everything he knew.
He even forged fake text messages to make it look like Noah was cutting him out of the profits.
The internet is a cruel place, and the public opinion began to shift.
People started calling Noah a fraud and demanding that Isabella Rossi fire him.
Noah came home to our new apartment, looking completely defeated.
"Maybe I should just quit, Mom," he whispered, throwing his sketchbook onto the table.
"People are sending me death threats, and Isabella's investors are getting nervous."
I walked over and picked up his sketchbook, holding it tightly.
"We did not survive eighteen years of poverty and struggle just to let that coward win," I told him fiercely.
