Chapter 7 - The Final Gathering

The morning sun completely poured aggressively through the massive kitchen windows, entirely illuminating the staged, perfectly terrifying family breakfast.

Carol had completely orchestrated a highly formal, incredibly elaborate spread of expensive pastries, fresh fruit, and imported coffee.

She was completely dressed in a sharp, highly intimidating business suit, looking entirely like a corporate CEO preparing for a hostile takeover.

Ben sat completely comfortably at the head of the long table, entirely sipping his coffee and looking completely pleased with his perceived victory.

I walked slowly down the grand staircase, completely clutching my heavy leather tote bag tightly against my side like a protective shield.

"Good morning, Sarah," Ben declared loudly, completely gesturing toward an empty chair located directly next to a massive stack of legal documents.

"We completely have the mobile notary arriving in exactly thirty minutes to legally finalize the refinancing paperwork and the asset transfers."

I completely sat down slowly in the heavy wooden chair, completely staring blankly at the highly fraudulent papers designed to steal my entire life.

"I completely read through the documents last night, Ben," I lied smoothly, completely pouring myself a hot cup of black coffee.

"It absolutely looks like you are entirely transferring the primary deed of the house directly into a newly formed LLC entirely controlled by your mother."

Carol completely smiled an incredibly cold, entirely predatory smile that completely failed to reach her calculating eyes.

"It is completely for highly advanced tax purposes, Sarah," Carol lied effortlessly, completely waving a manicured hand dismissively in the air.

"This completely protects the entire family’s overall net worth and entirely ensures a secure financial future for little Oliver."

I completely felt a massive, highly aggressive wave of pure nausea violently twist in my stomach at the mention of my innocent son’s name.

They were completely utilizing my deep love for my child as a highly weaponized tool to completely execute their massive financial fraud.

"And what exactly happens to the completely massive business loans you took out entirely in my name?" I asked, completely dropping my false, submissive act.

The entire dining room went completely, impossibly silent, the incredibly tense atmosphere suddenly completely freezing the air in the room.

Ben’s coffee cup completely stopped entirely halfway to his mouth, his arrogant face instantly draining of absolutely all its color.

"I completely have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, Sarah," Ben stammered aggressively, his voice completely cracking with sudden panic.

I aggressively unzipped my heavy leather tote bag and completely pulled out a massive, highly organized stack of printed banking records.

I forcefully slammed the heavy stack of completely undeniable evidence directly onto the center of the expensive dining table.

"You completely forged my legal signature on over three hundred thousand dollars of highly illegal, aggressive corporate debt," I stated entirely loudly.

Carol completely stood up violently, her chair aggressively scraping loudly against the expensive hardwood floor.

"You are completely acting entirely hysterical and completely delusional, Sarah!" Carol shouted aggressively, her carefully constructed mask entirely shattering.

"Sign the damn papers right now, or we will completely destroy your entire life and entirely ensure you never see your son again!"

I completely leaned back slowly in my chair, entirely unbothered by her terrifying, highly aggressive screaming.

"You completely cannot destroy a life that you entirely no longer control, Carol," I replied completely calmly, looking directly at the front door.

Exactly on cue, the heavy, highly ornate front doorbell rang loudly, echoing completely aggressively throughout the massive, silent house.
