Chapter 4 - The Penthouse Sanctuary

With the chaotic spectacle finally over, Alexander gently placed a reassuring hand on his grandfather's frail shoulder.

"Let us go upstairs, Grandfather," the billionaire suggested softly, his demeanor entirely transforming around his family.

Elias nodded slowly, carefully leaning his wooden mop against the shiny, golden brass railing of the grand staircase.

Alexander then turned his attention back to Jack, who was still standing rigidly in absolute shock.

"You are coming with us, Jack," Alexander commanded gently, leaving no room for any hesitation or debate.

The three men silently entered the lavish, gold-plated private elevator, rapidly ascending to the heavily guarded penthouse suite.

The massive doors slid open to reveal a breathtaking, sprawling apartment with panoramic views of the bright blue ocean.

Alexander immediately ordered his private chef to prepare a grand, incredibly expensive meal for the three of them.

Jack awkwardly sat on the edge of a custom-made Italian leather sofa, feeling entirely out of place in his cheap uniform.

"Why do you work as a janitor, sir?" Jack finally gathered the courage to ask the wealthy patriarch.

Elias chuckled warmly, a deep, rich sound that instantly filled the massive room with genuine comfort.

"When you build a massive empire, you can easily lose touch with the very people who hold it together," Elias explained wisely.

"I prefer to scrub the floors because it allows me to clearly see the true character of our distinguished guests and our hardworking staff."

Alexander handed Jack a heavy crystal glass of vintage, incredibly rare sparkling water.

"My grandfather has secretly tested hundreds of employees this exact way over the last decade," Alexander revealed proudly.

"And you, Jack Miller, are the very first person who was brave enough to risk everything to fiercely protect him."
