Chapter 7 - The Master Document

While Evelyn rotted in a six-by-eight cell, I returned to the Sterling Tower. It was time to finalize the financial destruction.

I sat at the head of the boardroom table, surrounded by the company's elite legal team and financial advisors. In front of me lay the document that had been the cornerstone of my entire strategy—the Irrevocable Master Trust.

"Ms. Sterling," the lead corporate attorney began, "we have executed the 'Bad Faith' clause embedded in the trust. Because Evelyn Vance was indicted for a felony against the primary beneficiary—your father—the prenup is entirely voided. She is entitled to absolutely nothing. No alimony, no settlement, no properties."

"And the assets Julian attempted to embezzle?" I asked, turning a pen between my fingers.

"Recovered entirely," the CFO chimed in. "The federal freeze was lifted this morning once we proved the funds were transferred via fraudulent signatures. The thirty million is back in the company’s primary holding accounts."

"Excellent," I nodded. "I want a complete audit of every department Julian touched during his brief, delusional tenure as a vice president. If he expensed a single cup of coffee illegally, I want it added to his criminal restitution."

The team nodded enthusiastically. They were terrified of me, and that was exactly how I wanted it. The days of soft voices and submission were over. I was the architect of this new era, and I was building it with iron and fire.
