Chapter 6 - Taking Out the Trash

The four powerful board members stood frozen in the center of the office, suddenly realizing they had walked straight into a perfectly designed trap.
"Criminal fraud?" Richard stammered, attempting to maintain a facade of outraged innocence.
"That is a slanderous accusation, and I will sue you for every penny your little real estate company is worth!"
Evelyn did not even blink at his empty threat.
She simply tapped her black card against the tablet, changing the display on the massive wall monitor.
The screen lit up with bank statements, wire transfers, and scanned copies of handwritten ledgers.
"Let us start with you, Richard," Evelyn announced loudly.
"Three years ago, you authorized a fifty-million-dollar corporate donation to a charity supposedly building orphanages in South America."
Richard's face drained of color, his jaw dropping open slightly.
"Those funds were entirely diverted to a series of offshore shell companies registered in the Cayman Islands," Evelyn continued reading from the screen.
"Shell companies that, coincidentally, hold the exact deeds to your private yacht, your villa in Tuscany, and your mistress's penthouse in Manhattan."
One of the other board members gasped, stepping away from Richard in disgust.
"You stole charity funds?" the board member asked, horrified.
"Shut up, Arthur!" Richard snapped, turning back to Evelyn with panicked eyes.
"You obtained those files illegally, they are entirely inadmissible in any court!"
"Oh, Richard, I didn't steal these files," Evelyn laughed softly.
"Your own branch manager, Janet, provided them to my auditors voluntarily ten minutes ago."
Janet stepped forward from the shadows, her head held high despite the tears streaming down her face.
"You threatened to fire me if I didn't hide the discrepancies in the quarterly reports," Janet said, her voice shaking but resolute.
"I kept copies of everything, every single illegal transfer you forced me to process."
Charles stared at his loyal manager, completely blindsided by her betrayal.
"You stupid little traitor!" Charles lunged toward Janet, raising his hand to strike her.
Before he could even close the distance, two of Evelyn's heavily built auditors stepped in his path, shoving him forcefully back into a chair.
"Sit down, Charles, or I will let them break your jaw," Evelyn warned, her voice devoid of any warmth.
Charles sank into the chair, clutching his chest as he hyperventilated.
Evelyn turned her attention to the rest of the board members, who were now sweating profusely under their expensive suits.
"Arthur, you have been insider trading using the bank's algorithm to front-run our clients' investments," she stated, scrolling to the next file.
"Thomas, you accepted bribes from a rival cartel to launder their money through our commercial loan department."
She looked at each of them, systematically destroying their reputations, their wealth, and their freedom with every word she spoke.
"You have all used this bank as your personal piggy bank, stealing from pensions, denying loans to minorities, and ruining countless lives."
Richard fell to his knees, his expensive pants tearing slightly on the carpet, begging for mercy he did not deserve.
"Please, Evelyn, we can make a deal," Richard pleaded, tears streaming down his wrinkled face.
"We will resign immediately, we will give you full control, just please do not give those files to the authorities."
Evelyn looked down at him with an expression of pure, unadulterated disgust.
"Forty years ago, I asked for a deal to save my dream, and you people threw me in the trash," she whispered.
May you like
"I am not here to make a deal."
"I am here to take out the trash."
