My Sister Stole My Wedding / Chapter 10 / 10

Chapter 10 - The Harvest of Peace

Five years have passed since the day I threw my sister out of my wedding.

The vineyard has grown into one of the most successful private estates in the region.

Today, the autumn air is crisp, and the vines are heavy with dark, sweet grapes ready for the harvest.

I am standing on the same patio where Olivia once tried to stage her fake engagement photos.

But today, the only person taking photos is Mark.

He is snapping pictures of our two-year-old daughter running through the grass, laughing wildly.

I rub my pregnant belly, feeling a soft kick from our second child.

I am surrounded by overwhelming joy, deep love, and absolute peace.

I occasionally hear brief updates about my mother and sister.

They rent a small apartment in a neighboring city, constantly arguing and blaming each other for their ruined lives.

They remain trapped in their own bitter toxicity, while I have built a paradise out of hard work and truth.

I look down at my simple gold wedding band, reflecting the warm autumn sun.

I think back to that girl who used to swallow her humiliation to keep the peace.

She is completely gone, replaced by a woman who knows her own worth.

Sometimes, the hardest thing in life is walking away from the people who share your blood.

But sometimes, it is the only way to save your own soul.

I take Mark’s hand as our daughter runs back to us, her cheeks flushed with happiness.

This is my real family.

And no one is ever going to take this away from me.
