The ballroom remained silent after Don Evaristo revealed himself as Elisa's father.

Medical staff rushed to help Elisa while security secured the area.

Iván tried to explain.

"Sir, this is all a misunderstanding—"

"It isn't," a voice interrupted.

Everyone turned.

It was Silvia, Urbania Arquitectos' senior accountant.

With trembling hands, she stepped forward carrying a folder.

"I've worked with Iván for three years," she said. "And I've spent months documenting fraud."

The room erupted in whispers.

Silvia revealed that Iván had secretly stolen company funds to support his expensive lifestyle and gambling debts.

But that wasn't the worst part.

"He hired investigators to look into Elisa's background," Silvia continued.

Elisa froze.

"What?"

"He believed you were hiding money. Once he suspected you came from wealth, he started planning for your inheritance."

Don Evaristo's expression darkened.

Silvia handed over documents showing that Iván intended to stay married long enough to gain access to Elisa's fortune.

Then she revealed one final detail.

"He also planned to seek full custody of the baby."

A shocked silence filled the room.

Elisa felt tears fill her eyes.

The man she loved had never been thinking about family.

He had been thinking about money.

Security then presented footage from the ballroom cameras.

The video clearly showed Valeria pouring wine on Elisa.

It showed Iván grabbing her arm.

And it showed him kicking his pregnant wife.

There was no denying it.

The managing partner of Urbania stood immediately.

"Iván Montes, your employment is terminated effective today."

Iván's face went pale.

Within minutes, he had lost his career, his reputation, and any chance of hiding the truth.

But investigators soon discovered something even more disturbing.

Among Iván's files was a document titled:

"Custody Plan After Birth."

Inside were fake accusations against Elisa, forged evidence, and a strategy to take her baby away after delivery.

As police began reviewing the evidence, Don Evaristo looked at Iván with cold certainty.
