Part 2 : “You used to sing me to sleep…”

The camera lingers on the boy, his small hands trembling as he grips the soggy sandwich, tears streaking through dirt on his cheeks. Pedestrians hover, phones raised, the cold air thick with tension.

The driver freezes, eyes wide, face draining of all color.

Every muscle in his body stiffens as recognition hits like a shockwave.

His mouth opens slightly—no words come.

The boy, voice quivering, barely audible over the city hum:

“You used to sing me to sleep…”

Slow-motion close-up: the driver’s hand twitches toward his chest, disbelief and guilt etched deeply into his features.

The rich woman leans forward, confused at first—but her smirk fades instantly as she follows his gaze to the boy.

Shock spreads across her face.

Extreme close-up: the boy’s eyes glisten, reflecting the harsh streetlights, and the puddle ripples beneath the discarded sandwich.
